Claude de la Colombière
Saint Claude de la Colombière was a French Jesuit priest and the spiritual director of Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque. He is renowned for his strong support and propagation of the devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Claude was known for his preaching, deep faith, and unwavering adherence to the Jesuit spiritual exercises. He suffered persecution in England for his Catholic faith, and after his return to France, he continued his ministry until his death in 1682.
