Saint Alexander was an early Christian bishop and martyr, venerated as the Bishop of Alexandria in the 3rd century. He is known for his role in opposing Arianism and upholding the orthodox faith during a challenging period for the Church. Alexander played a significant part at the Council of Nicaea and is remembered for his wisdom and firm defense of Christian doctrine. He is considered a patron of theologians and philosophers.
