Saint Emeterius

Saint Emeterius was a Roman soldier and Christian martyr, venerated alongside his brother Celedonius. They are especially honored in the region of Santander, Spain, where their relics are traditionally believed to be housed. Emeterius and Celedonius are remembered for their steadfast faith and courage during persecution under the Roman Empire. Their example of brotherly loyalty and devotion to Christ inspired many. They remain local patrons in northern Spain.
