Saint Frances of Rome was an Italian noblewoman and mystic who lived from 1384 to 1440. She devoted her life to caring for the poor and the sick during times of plague and war in Rome. Frances founded the Oblates of Mary, a religious community of laywomen. She is remembered for her humility, visions, and deep devotion to God.
