St. Catherine of Bologna, Virgin, Clares

St. Catherine of Bologna (1413-1463) was an Italian nun and mystic who lived during the 15th century. Born in Bologna, she joined the Poor Clares at a young age and became known for her deep spiritual devotion and mystical experiences. She wrote several works on the spiritual life, including the "Treatise on the Seven Spiritual Weapons." Catherine was renowned for her wisdom, prophecy, and miraculous abilities. She is venerated as the patron saint of artists, against temptations, and for the defense of the Catholic faith.
