Francis of Rome
Saint Francis of Rome was an Italian noblewoman born in 1384 in Rome. She was married and had children, dedicating her life to both family and the service of the poor. Later, she founded the Olivetan Oblates of Mary, a religious community for women. Renowned for her piety, mystical experiences, and works of charity, she is a patron saint of Rome and widows. She was canonized in 1608 by Pope Paul V.
