Patrick
St. Patrick was a 5th-century Romano-British Christian missionary and bishop who is the primary patron saint of Ireland. Born around 385 AD in Roman Britain, he was kidnapped and enslaved in Ireland as a young man. After escaping and returning home, he later felt called to return to Ireland as a missionary. He is credited with playing a key role in converting the Irish to Christianity and establishing the church in Ireland. St. Patrick is venerated for his evangelizing work, his compassion, and his legendary driving of snakes from Ireland. He is the patron saint of Ireland, engineers, and paralegals.
