Saint Gertrude, of Nivelles
Saint Gertrude of Nivelles was a 7th-century abbess and the daughter of Saint Pepin of Landen and Saint Itta. She founded the Abbey of Nivelles in present-day Belgium, where she lived a life of prayer, hospitality, and service to the poor. Gertrude is venerated for her devotion, humility, and care for pilgrims and travelers.
