Saint Julian, martyr of Sirmium
Saint Julian, martyr of Sirmium, was a Christian who suffered martyrdom during the early 4th century under Emperor Diocletian’s persecution. He is believed to have been a native or resident of Sirmium, a prominent city in the Roman province of Pannonia (modern-day Serbia). Refusing to renounce his faith, he endured torture and was eventually executed for his steadfast devotion to Christ. His memory is honored by the Church on March 27.
