Saint Vivian
Saint Vivian was a fifth-century bishop of Saintes in France. He is remembered for his charity and leadership, especially during a period of invasion by barbarian tribes. Vivian protected his flock and worked to provide for the needs of his people amid difficulties. He is venerated as a model of episcopal compassion and fortitude. His relics were once venerated at Saintes where he is officially commemorated.
