St. Abbondio

St. Abbondio was a 5th-century bishop of Como, Italy. He is venerated as a saint in the Catholic Church for his piety, devotion to his flock, and miracles attributed to him. Abbondio was born in Como and became bishop of the city in 451 AD. He was known for his charitable works and efforts to convert pagans to Christianity. Abbondio is said to have performed several miracles, including curing the sick and driving out demons. He is the patron saint of Como and is invoked for protection against storms and natural disasters.
