Saint Conrad of Parzham

St. Conrad of Parzham (1818-1894) was a German Capuchin friar known for his devoted service and humility. Born Johann Birndorfer in Bavaria, he joined the Capuchins in 1849 and served as the doorkeeper at the Capuchin monastery in Parzham for over 40 years. Conrad became renowned for his kindness, patience, and care for the poor who sought his assistance. He was beatified in 1900 and canonized in 1934. St. Conrad is the patron saint of doorkeepers, porters, and the Catholic Capuchin order.
