Saint Giselle
Saint Giselle (Gisela of Hungary) was a Bavarian princess and the first Queen of Hungary, wife of King Stephen I. Renowned for her deep piety, she helped spread Christianity in Hungary and supported the foundation of monasteries and churches. After her husband's death, she suffered political persecution and retired to a convent in Bavaria, where she spent her remaining years as an abbess. She is venerated for her charitable works and dedication to the Church.
