Saint Victor
St. Victor Maurus of Milan was a Christian martyr who lived in the 4th century. He is believed to have been born in Milan, Italy, and suffered martyrdom during the persecution of Christians under the Roman Emperor Maximian. Victor Maurus refused to renounce his faith and was subsequently tortured and executed. He is venerated as a saint in the Catholic Church, and his feast day is celebrated on May 8th. Victor Maurus is the patron saint of soldiers and is invoked for protection against storms.
