St. Benedict II, Pope
St. Benedict II was Pope from 684 to 685 AD. He was born in Rome and is remembered for his piety, learning, and efforts to restore the unity of the Church. As Pope, he worked to strengthen the authority of the Holy See and defend Catholic doctrine. He is venerated for his holiness and dedication to the faith. St. Benedict II is the patron saint of those suffering from fevers and convulsions.
