Our Lady of the Forsaken
Our Lady of the Forsaken is a title given to the Blessed Virgin Mary, primarily venerated in Valencia, Spain. The devotion began in the 15th century to honor Mary as the protector of the downtrodden, especially orphans and the mentally ill. She is considered a symbol of hope and protection for the abandoned and those in distress. Her basilica in Valencia is an important pilgrimage site.
