Saint Julia of Corsica
Saint Julia of Corsica was a virgin and martyr of the early Christian Church, believed to have died in the 5th century. She was born in Carthage and sold into slavery following the Vandal conquest. Despite harsh treatment, Julia remained steadfast in her Christian faith and was eventually crucified on Corsica for her refusal to renounce Christ. She is venerated as the patron saint of Corsica and is often depicted holding a cross and palm of martyrdom.
