Saint Jane Antide Thouret, founder of the Sisters of Charity
Saint Jane Antide Thouret was born in 1765 in France. She became a nun and devoted her life to caring for the poor and sick, especially during the turmoil of the French Revolution. In 1799, she founded the Sisters of Charity dedicated to education and healthcare. She is remembered for her deep faith, compassion, and courage in serving those in need.
