St. Germana Cousin, Virgin
St. Germana Cousin was a young French shepherdess who lived in the 17th century. Born in 1579 in Pibrac, near Toulouse, she was known for her piety, kindness, and devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. Despite living in poverty and facing physical disabilities, she remained steadfast in her faith. St. Germana is venerated for her virtues and is the patron saint of shepherds and the disabled. She died in 1601 and was beatified in 1867 and canonized in 1975 by Pope Paul VI.
