Saint Alice, of Schaerbeek
Saint Alice of Schaerbeek was a Belgian Cistercian lay sister, known for her deep piety and humility. Born around 1220, she entered the Cistercian convent at a young age and devoted her life to prayer and service. Stricken with leprosy, she suffered greatly yet remained joyful in her trust in God. She is especially venerated as a patron of the sick and the disabled.
