St. Joseph Cafasso, priest of Turin
St. Joseph Cafasso (1811-1860) was a Catholic priest from Turin, Italy. He was known for his work with prisoners and the poor, as well as his spiritual guidance and devotion to the Blessed Sacrament. Cafasso was ordained in 1833 and spent his life serving the people of Turin, earning him the title "the Priest of Turin." He was a confessor to St. John Bosco and played a key role in Bosco's ministry. Cafasso is venerated for his holiness, compassion, and dedication to the Church. He is the patron saint of prisoners and those in moral difficulties.
