Bl. Mary Theresa Ledóchowska, Missionary Sisters of St. Peter Claver
Blessed Mary Theresa Ledóchowska (1863-1922) was a Polish Catholic nun and founder of the Missionary Sisters of St. Peter Claver. Born in Austria, she dedicated her life to missionary work, establishing schools and orphanages across Africa. She is venerated for her tireless efforts to support and evangelize African peoples, as well as her compassion for the poor and marginalized. Bl. Mary Theresa is the patron saint of African missions and the African people.
