Sts. Rufina and Secunda, Martyrs on the via Cornelia

Sts. Rufina and Secunda were Christian martyrs who suffered execution in Rome during the 3rd century AD. They were sisters from a noble Roman family who refused to worship pagan gods, leading to their arrest and condemnation. Rufina and Secunda were tortured and beheaded along the Via Cornelia, outside the city walls of Rome.
