Saint Zelia, mother of Thérèse of Lisieux
Saint Zelia, mother of Thérèse of Lisieux, was born in 1831 in France and worked as a lace maker. With her husband Louis Martin, she raised a deeply devout Catholic family, five of whose daughters entered religious life, including Saint Thérèse of Lisieux. Zelia showed profound faith, charity, and perseverance in the face of illness and family hardships. She died from breast cancer in 1877 and was canonized in 2015 alongside her husband.
