Saint Vincent Madelgarius, abbot of Hautmont
Saint Vincent Madelgarius, abbot of Hautmont, was a seventh-century Frankish nobleman who became a monk and founded several monasteries. He was married to Saint Waldetrude, and together they raised a family of saints. After living a pious life, he and his wife mutually agreed to separate and pursue religious vocations. Vincent founded the abbeys of Hautmont and Soignies in present-day Belgium and served as their abbot.
