Saint Angeline, foundress of the Franciscan Sisters of Blessed Angelina

Saint Angeline, known as Blessed Angelina of Montegiove, was a noblewoman from Italy who founded the first Franciscan community of women not bound by cloister. She devoted her life to charitable works and helping the poor, following the example of Saint Francis. Her piety, humility, and leadership inspired many women to join her mission. She died in 1435 and is honored on July 14.
