Saint Alexis
Saint Alexis, known as Alexis of Rome, was a revered confessor and ascetic venerated in the Catholic Church. According to tradition, he was a Roman noble who abandoned his wealth and family to live in poverty and prayer. He spent his life serving the poor and living under a church's staircase in anonymity. His humility and detachment from worldly goods inspired Christians throughout the ages. Alexis is a patron saint of beggars and pilgrims.
