Rudolph of Gubbio
Saint Rudolph of Gubbio was a Benedictine abbot in Italy during the 12th century. Originally a canon of the cathedral of Gubbio, he was inspired by Saint Peter Damian to join the monastery at Fonte Avellana. Rudolph became abbot of the nearby monastery of S. Maria di Sitria. His deep piety, humility, and charity attracted many to religious life. Saint Rudolph is honored for his commitment to monastic reform and spiritual leadership.
