Sts. Ciriaco, Largo and Smaragdo, Martyrs

Sts. Ciriaco, Largo and Smaragdo, Martyrs

Sts. Ciriaco, Largo and Smaragdo were early Christian martyrs who suffered under the Roman Emperor Diocletian in the 4th century. Ciriaco was a deacon, Largo was a priest, and Smaragdo was a layman. They were arrested, tortured, and executed for refusing to renounce their faith. Ciriaco and Largo were beheaded, while Smaragdo was crucified. They are venerated as courageous witnesses to the Christian faith who remained steadfast in the face of persecution.
