Saint Mary of the Cross, founder of the Sisters of St Joseph
Saint Mary of the Cross, also known as Mary MacKillop, was an Australian nun and educator. She co-founded the Sisters of St Joseph of the Sacred Heart in 1866, focusing on education and care for the poor, especially in rural areas.
