Saint Jane Frances de Chantal
St. Jane Frances de Chantal (1572-1641) was a French noblewoman and religious reformer. She was born in Dijon, France and married the Baron de Chantal, with whom she had six children. After her husband's death, she founded the Order of the Visitation of Holy Mary in 1610, which combined contemplative and active religious life. St. Jane Frances was known for her deep spirituality, compassion for the poor, and administrative skills in managing the order.
