Saint Agapitus

St. Agapitus was a young Christian martyr who lived in Palestrina, Italy during the 3rd century. He was martyred for his faith at the age of 15 under the reign of Roman Emperor Aurelian. Agapitus was arrested and brought before the magistrate, where he refused to renounce his Christian beliefs. He was subsequently tortured and executed. Agapitus is venerated as a patron saint of Palestrina and is invoked for protection against fever and plague.
