St. Eusebius, Pope and Martyr

St. Eusebius was a Roman Catholic pope and martyr who lived in the 4th century. He was born in the city of Rome and served as the Bishop of Rome from 309 to 310 AD. During his brief papacy, he was known for his defense of Catholic doctrine against the Arian heresy. Eusebius was imprisoned and ultimately martyred for his faith under the Roman Emperor Maxentius. He is venerated as a saint by the Catholic Church, and his feast day is celebrated on August 17th. Eusebius is the patron saint of those suffering from kidney disease.
