Saint Beatrice

Saint Beatrice of Silva was a Portuguese noblewoman and the foundress of the Order of the Immaculate Conception of Our Lady. She was born in 1424 and lived a life of deep piety and devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. Beatrice endured hardships and dedicated herself to prayer and the service of God. She died in 1492 and was canonized by Pope Paul VI in 1976.
