St. Roch, also known as Saint Roch the Pilgrim, was a Catholic saint who lived in the 14th century. Born in Montpellier, France, he dedicated his life to caring for those afflicted by the plague. Roch traveled throughout Europe, miraculously healing the sick and providing comfort to the dying. He is venerated as the patron saint of invalids, plague victims, and dogs.
