Ingrid of Skänninge
Saint Ingrid of Skänninge was a Swedish noblewoman and the foundress of the first Dominican convent for women in Sweden, established around 1281. She dedicated her life to prayer, charity, and religious reform, leading the community as its first abbess. Ingrid was renowned for her piety and her zeal in promoting the spiritual life. After her death, many miracles were reported at her tomb, leading to her being venerated as a saint in Sweden.
