St. Sophia
St. Sophia was a Christian martyr who lived in Rome during the 2nd century. She was the mother of three daughters, Faith, Hope, and Charity, who were also martyred for their Christian beliefs. Sophia witnessed the executions of her daughters and is said to have encouraged them in their faith. After their deaths, Sophia was arrested and tortured, but she remained steadfast in her devotion to Christ. She is believed to have died from the severity of her wounds. St. Sophia is venerated for her unwavering faith and her willingness to sacrifice her own life for her beliefs.
