Saints Adolph and John were martyrs who were killed in Córdoba, Spain during the Umayyad Caliphate's persecution of Christians in the 9th century. Adolph and John were laymen who were publicly executed for their Christian faith. They are venerated for their courageous refusal to renounce their beliefs in the face of death.
