Saint Gabriel the Archangel

St. Gabriel the Archangel is one of the three archangels named in Scripture and venerated in Catholic tradition, along with Michael and Raphael. His name means "God is my strength," and he serves as God's messenger. He is best known for announcing the Incarnation of Jesus to the Virgin Mary. He also announced the birth of John the Baptist to Zechariah and explained visions to the prophet Daniel. Pope Pius XII named him patron of telecommunications, and he is the patron saint of communications workers, broadcasters, and postal workers. He is invoked for guidance, protection, and heavenly intercession.
