Saint Justina of Padua was a Christian virgin and martyr who lived in the 1st century in Padua, Italy. She is said to have been converted to Christianity by the apostle Saint Prosdocimus and was known for her deep faith and piety. Refusing to renounce her Christian faith during persecutions, she was martyred for her beliefs, becoming a revered patroness of the city of Padua. Her cult spread widely during the Middle Ages, and many churches have been dedicated in her honor. She is especially venerated for her courage and steadfastness in the face of danger.
