Saint Thaïs

Saint Thaïs was a penitent woman of Egypt who lived in the 4th century. Initially known for her sinful life, she converted through the preaching of a holy monk. She spent the last years of her life in prayer and penance, becoming a model of repentance. She is especially venerated in the Western and Eastern Christian traditions.
