Saint Kenneth
Saint Kenneth, also known as Saint Canice, was an Irish abbot and missionary of the 6th century. He was a companion of Saint Columba and played an important role in spreading Christianity in Ireland and Scotland. Saint Kenneth founded churches and monasteries, most notably in Kilkenny (which is named after him) and Aghaboe. He is venerated as a patron of Kilkenny and is remembered for his learning and piety.
