Saint Wilfrid
Saint Wilfrid was an English bishop and missionary born around 633. He played a major role in the establishment of the Roman Church practices in England, notably at the Synod of Whitby. Wilfrid founded several monasteries and was known for his devotion, learning, and energy in missionary work. He faced opposition, exile, and many hardships but remained steadfast in his faith. He died in 709 and is venerated as a saint in the Catholic Church.
