Saint Theophilus of Antioch
Theophilus of Antioch was a 2nd-century Greek Christian apologist and the sixth bishop of Antioch. He was born in the city of Antioch and lived from around 115 to 181 AD. As bishop, he vigorously defended the Christian faith against paganism and heresy. He is best known for his work "Apology to Autolycus," which is one of the earliest Christian apologetic texts. Theophilus is venerated as a saint in the Catholic Church, with his feast day celebrated on October 13. He is considered a patron of apologists and theologians.
