Saint Marcellus of Tangier

Saint Marcellus of Tangier was a Roman centurion who converted to Christianity and was martyred in the late 3rd century. He publicly renounced his military post during an imperial festival, declaring his allegiance to Christ. Marcellus was arrested, tried, and executed for his bold confession of faith. He is venerated as a martyr and is the patron saint of military personnel.
