Quentin
Saint Quentin was a third-century Christian martyr and missionary who preached the faith in Gaul, now modern-day France. He was arrested and tortured for his faith during the persecution of Christians under Roman rule. Refusing to renounce Christianity, he was beheaded around the year 287 in the city now called Saint-Quentin. Saint Quentin is venerated as the patron saint of the city that bears his name, and his cult spread widely in medieval France.
