Sts. Domninus, Teothimus and Companions, Martyrs

Sts. Domninus, Teothimus and Companions were early Christian martyrs who were executed in the Roman city of Nicomedia (modern-day Izmit, Turkey) during the persecutions of Diocletian in the early 4th century. Domninus was a deacon, while Teothimus was a priest. Along with several other unnamed companions, they were put to death for refusing to renounce their faith. The Catholic Church honors their witness to the Gospel on their feast day of November 5th. They are venerated as patrons of those facing religious persecution.
