Saint Martin of Tours

Saint Martin of Tours

St. Martin of Tours was a 4th-century Roman soldier who later became a bishop and is one of the most popular and well-known saints in Christianity. Born around 316 AD in present-day Hungary, he is best known for cutting his military cloak in half to share with a poor beggar. After a vision of Christ, he converted to Christianity and was baptized.
