Saint Emilian of Cogolla
Saint Emilian of Cogolla was a Spanish hermit and priest born in the early 6th century. He lived much of his life in solitude, dedicating himself to prayer and asceticism in the mountains near La Rioja. Over time, he gained a reputation for holiness and miracles, attracting many followers and disciples. The Monastery of San Millán de la Cogolla, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was built on the site of his hermitage.
