St. Gregory Thaumaturgus (c. 213-270 AD) was a 3rd-century bishop of Neocaesarea, now known as Niksar, Turkey. He was renowned for his miraculous abilities, earning him the title "Thaumaturgus" or "Wonder-Worker." Born in Pontus, he studied in Caesarea and was converted to Christianity by Origen. As bishop, he faced pagan opposition but converted many through his preaching and miracles.
